Year 13 students end their studies with some well deserved results

Year 13 students from Park View School in Chester-le-Street are celebrating the end of their studies on A Level Results day with some well deserved results across a range of subjects. This year group is the biggest ever at the school after the growth in numbers due to the ever popular and successful Park View Academy of Sport and it is amazing to see so many students finishing their studies in style.

Andrew Finley, the proud Headteacher, said:

“It has been a great day for so many of our students today and it has been a privilege to be a part of their success. All the students and staff have worked so hard over the last two years and we are delighted that so many of our young people are leaving us with good results and good experiences at the school. We could not be more proud of them.”

Mr Finley went on to say, “These results mean that many of our students will now enter some of the best universities, school leaver programmes or employment opportunities with a lot of confidence which is well deserved. It should not be underestimated just how many of our students in this cohort have had to deal with over the last few years and whilst grades across the country have returned to pre-pandemic levels, the disruption to their education has been substantial and unprecedented. They are more than worthy recipients of this good news and we are bowled over by their performances to go alongside their fabulously well rounded characters. Park View’s Year 13 students, like so many before them, are a brilliant group of young people who have given so much more to the school in terms of their support of each other, how they challenge themselves and their resilience and kindness. Their great A Level results have been achieved whilst taking on a wide variety of other opportunities along the way including foreign expeditions, record breaking sporting achievements and acclaimed creative and performing arts showings to name a few. We will miss them all as they head off to pastures new and we wish them all the very best for what promises to be a very bright future for them.”
