Wishing you a restful and well-deserved Easter break
As we head into the Easter break, we wanted to take a moment to send our warmest wishes to all of our colleagues, friends, and partners across the Schools North East network.
This term has been full of challenge and change, but it has also been rich with the energy, commitment and creativity that defines our schools. From navigating the ongoing pressures facing the sector to continuing to champion the needs of every child in the North East, your work has been nothing short of remarkable. As it always is.
Whether you’re a school leader, teacher, support staff member, governor, or part of the wider education ecosystem, the impact you have made this term — in classrooms, in corridors, and in communities — is truly invaluable. We know how hard you have worked, in the face of significant challenges, and we hope the Easter break brings a chance for you to recharge and spend time with loved ones.
These pauses in the academic year are important. Not just for rest, but to remind ourselves of the bigger picture, and looking ahead, there is so much to be excited about across our region.
Next term is already looking promising
Next term promises to be a busy one for Schools North East, and we’re looking forward to connecting with many of you through a range of events and initiatives designed to support, celebrate and champion your work. Here are just a few things to look out for:
- Inclusion Conference 2025 taking place in Teesside on 22 May
- National Network of Special Schools (NNoSS) Annual Conference for School Business Professionals, taking place in Birmingham on 9 May
- Brand new episodes of The Schools North East Podcast, tackling topics like SEND and leadership
- Countless Partner School visits, roundtable discussions with MPs and leaders, and further campaigns to influence education policy and drive real change
So, as we break for Easter, we simply want to say thank you.
