Teesside High School, in Stockton-On-Tees, is delighted to be celebrating almost 40% of their Year 11 students securing the highest possible 9-7 (A**-A) grades in their GCSEs this year.

Providing opportunities for students

Charlotte Sowerby, 16, is celebrating a fantastic GCSE success as she achieved 7 grade 9s, 3 grades 7s and 1 grade 5. Ellis Ettridge and Phoebe Anderson have secured an impressive 9 7-8  grades. They will both go on to study A-levels at Teesside High School Sixth Form.

Kirsty Mackenzie, Head Teacher at Teesside High School, said:

“As a non-selective school, our teachers and support staff work extremely hard to provide opportunities which enrich our students’ education and go beyond the bounds of any curriculum. This allows our students to achieve and exceed their personal potential, both in and out of the classroom. Our students have achieved some outstanding results throughout the broad curriculum we offer, as well as in extension subjects such as Ancient Greek. Many of our subjects are celebrating record high grades; 9-7 (A**-A) grades in Further Maths and Ancient Greek, Biology,Chemistry and History to name but a few. Congratulation’s Year 11. I cannot wait to see what you will go on to achieve in the next stages of your life. For those joining us in Sixth Form, I look forward to seeing you all in September.”
