Sunderland School year 11 collect their GCSE results

Students at The Link School in Sunderland have collected their GCSE results today. The Link School is an alternative learning provider working with young learners and their families across the City of Sunderland.

This year, the school has been particularly successful at ensuring all learners were entered for GCSE English and Maths qualifications, with 91% of pupils gaining at least one qualification. This year’s results have seen an increase in the percentage of learners gaining GCSE English and GCSE Maths qualifications. In English, 85% of learners gained a GCSE English qualification, and in GCSE Maths, this was 78%. The best results the school has had.

Donna Walker, Head Teacher at the school said:

“We are incredibly proud of our Y11 learners this year, and how well they achieved, despite all of the disruption over the last three years. Their hard work and engagement throughout the exam period was amazing!  We wish all of our Y11’s every success in the future, and they should know the sky’s the limit, they have the power to be who they want to be.”

The Link School is a Schools North East Partner School. If you’d like to find out more about our Partner School Programme click here.
