North Gosforth Academy Celebrates Significant Improvement in GCSE Results
“North Gosforth Academy is celebrating a year of significant improvement in GCSE outcomes, with students achieving strong results across a range of subjects and key performance measures.

The proportion of students achieving a Grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics has risen from 61% to 67%, while the percentage achieving a Grade 5 or above in both subjects has increased substantially from 40% to 51%. Both measures place the academy above national averages, highlighting the continued impact of the school’s commitment to high standards and academic excellence.
As students celebrate their achievements and prepare for the next stage of their education, North Gosforth Academy looks forward to building on this success and continuing its drive for excellence for all learners.
As a calm, caring and ambitious school, we are committed to ensuring that every child is known, supported and encouraged to achieve their personal best. Today’s results reflect not only academic success, but also the confidence, resilience and character our students have developed along the way.
Executive Headteacher, Pete Fox expressed his pride and said:
“I am incredibly proud of every one of our students. These results are an important milestone, but they are only one part of a much bigger journey. We are proud of the way our young people have worked towards their goals, supported one another and embraced opportunities throughout their time at North Gosforth Academy.
As they move on to the next stage of their education, training or employment, we know they will continue to build on the skills, confidence and resilience they have developed here. We wish every student the very best for the future.”
Our students leave us to take up a variety of opportunities. It is wonderful to see our students continuing their studies within the Gosforth Group family at Gosforth Academy and Jesmond Park Academy Sixth Forms, taking up apprenticeships, following vocational pathways and starting employment. Whatever route they choose, we are committed to ensuring that every student receives the guidance and support needed to make informed decisions about their future.

Pete Fox, Executive Headteacher, said: “Today’s results are also a reflection of the support, encouragement and belief shown by our dedicated staff, parents, carers and wider school community. Together, we have helped our young people develop the knowledge, confidence and aspirations needed for the next stage of their lives.
As part of Gosforth Group, we are proud to share the Trust’s vision of Creating Futures and Opportunities for Every Child. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, fulfil their potential and look to the future with confidence, and we are excited to see what our students go on to achieve.”
We congratulate all of our Year 11 students on their achievements and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.”
