North East school recruitment portal sees rapid growth

Thousands of prospective applicants looking for vacancies on www.jobsinschoolsnortheast.com

The country’s most cost-effective recruitment portal, created by schools for schools, has been live for two months. It has seen a rapid growth in schools signed up, uploaded vacancies, and – most importantly – candidates accessing the website.

Over 4,000 teachers, senior leaders and support staff have used the website since its launch in January, and the jobs published on it have been viewed over 30,000 times! This month alone, Jobs in Schools | North East has been accessed by over 1,300 potential candidates looking for their dream job in a North East school.

Jobs in Schools | North East has been accessed by users from across the entire region, most prominently from Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland, Darlington and Middlesbrough. But the recruitment portal has proven quite popular with a wider audience, 11% of our users being based in London.

Almost 70% of those coming to our website for the first time, have returned for further information and job adverts.

Powered by SCHOOLS NorthEast and developed by a board of Head Teachers and School Business Managers in the region, this not-for-profit recruitment portal offers schools the opportunity to advertise teaching and non-teaching job vacancies for one small annual fee.

If your school is interested in tapping into this wide regional talent pool, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0191 204 8866 or email info@jobsinschoolsnortheast.com
