Nicky Morgan to speak at SCHOOLS NorthEast Summit

Education Secretary Nicky Morgan will be the keynote speaker at this year’s SCHOOLS NorthEast Summit on 13 October.

Now in its eighth year, the UK’s pre-eminent regional education event has grown from strength to strength, becoming the must-attend conference for all North East school leaders and educationalists.

In 2015 Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector Sir Michael Wilshaw headlined the Summit, and we are thrilled to announce yet another education heavyweight this year.

Mike Parker, Director of SCHOOLS NorthEast, said: “The focus for the SCHOOLS NorthEast Summit is to deliver a national conference within the region. The calibre of speakers is consistently high and today’s announcement that the Education Secretary herself is keen to provide the keynote address is a ringing endorsement of the Summit.

“This year’s Summit will follow hot on the heels of the political party conference season so school leaders can expect to hear at first hand the Government’s latest education priorities from the Secretary of State.”

This year, the Summit will take place on Thursday 13 October 2016, at St James’ Park in Newcastle. For more information, please visit the Summit website. If you would like to book your place, please contact info@schoolsnortheast.com .
