Congratulations to North Gosforth Academy’s Year 11 students on their GCSE results

Schools North East warmly congratulates North Gosforth Academy on an outstanding set of GCSE results, opening doors to bright futures. Here’s what they had to say…
Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their GCSE results this morning. Your hard work, resilience, and determination have paid off, and we are incredibly proud of every student’s achievement.

Our Head of School, Susanna Cooke, expressed her pride, “We are thrilled to celebrate our students’ achievements today. They have shown remarkable commitment and worked exceptionally hard. It is particularly pleasing to see so many students exceed their predicted scores. This is a testament to their dedication and the support from our dedicated staff, parents and carers. Everyone involved should feel proud today.”
This year, our academy has seen some brilliant outcomes and further improvements on last year’s results as we continue to make positive progress and support our students to reach their full potential. We are especially pleased to see impressive results in key subject areas:
• 66% of students obtained a pass in English
• 77% of students obtained a pass in Maths
• 61% of students obtained a pass in both English and Maths combined

Special congratulations go out to Jack Armstrong who achieved 7 grade 9’s and 1 grade 8, Harry Graham who achieved 3 grade 9’s and 5 grade 8’s. Taylor Knight who achieved 2 grade 9’s and 6 grade 8’s and Dara Faseun who achieved 3 grade 9’s and 5 grade 8’s.
Our Executive Headteacher, Pete Fox, commented, “We are pleased to see our students achieving strong grades in core subjects such as English and Maths once again this year. We look forward to supporting them as they progress into their next educational chapter or pursue employment opportunities. At North Gosforth Academy, we encourage our students to explore all available pathways and choose the one that is right for them, rather than simply following traditional expectations.

It is encouraging to see some students remain within our Trust, the Gosforth Group, and join one of our successful Sixth Forms to study A Levels and vocational subjects. We are also delighted to see students opting for other pathways, such as apprenticeships, traineeships, or employment.
Whichever path they choose, we are here to provide encouragement, direction, and personalised guidance. We urge students to speak with their teachers for advice and support as they navigate their future options.”
We wish all our students ongoing success and happiness for the future.
