WISE Academies pupils take centre stage for trust-wide talent show

11 September 2026

Pupils from across WISE Academies have taken to the stage to showcase their talents, as the trust brought together children from 16 schools for a celebration of creativity and opportunity beyond the classroom.

The Fed in Gateshead was transformed into a vibrant showcase of youth creativity for the WISE Performs talent show, which celebrated and supported the wide range of talents of children from across the trust.

The atmosphere throughout the day was full of enthusiasm, with plenty of smiles from those taking part and supporting the event.

Celebrating every child’s talents

On stage, pupils delivered an impressive variety of performances, with the audience treated to singing, dance, acting, skipping routines and musical theatre.

The breadth of acts reflected WISE Academies’ commitment to nurturing the individual creative potential of its pupils and giving children opportunities to showcase their talents.

Organisers extended their thanks to the multi-academy team and community partners who helped make the event possible.

Special thanks were given to teachers who volunteered their time for rehearsals, the event’s photographer and videographer, and school governors and WISE executive members who took time out of their schedules to support the children.

Fantastic support from the community

A special note of thanks was also given to Dame Hayes and Hayes Travel for their sponsorship, which provided all participants with commemorative T-shirts for the event.

The event proved a memorable occasion for those involved and marked a milestone for the trust, bringing pupils from across its 16 schools together to celebrate their creativity and achievements.

Chris Zarraga, Director of Schools North East, said: “Huge congratulations! It’s fantastic to see children from across WISE Academies coming together and having the opportunity to showcase their talents. Schools are about so much more than what happens in the classroom, and events like this give our young people the chance to build confidence, be creative and celebrate what they can achieve.”
