This course is designed for new DSLs and will help them understand the safeguarding and child protection process and their statutory duties, and responsibilities for child protection.  It will look at how to create a culture of safeguarding, how to raise awareness of safeguarding and will look at how to respond to concerns as well as how and when to make referrals.  The course is being held at Ramside Hall Hotel (DH1 1TD) and lunch and refreshments are provided. We also offer a ‘Day 2’ which takes delegates through effective multi-agency working and the processes of CP Conferences.
