Let Teachers SHINE 2022 is open for applications

Let Teachers SHINE 2022 is open for applications until January 18.  SHINE offer up to £25,000 over two years to teachers who have brilliant ideas to help support children in the North of England to succeed in English, maths, or science, particularly those from socio economically disadvantaged backgrounds.  As well as funding, SHINE offers practical support for winners, to help them develop their ideas.  Full details, guidance and application criteria and the application form are available at  Let Teachers SHINE – SHINE (shinetrust.org.uk)

We’re looking to work with teachers who have a promising idea for a project that they’d like to pilot from their school. This should be innovative and focused on raising attainment in core subjects.   Projects must be led by a qualified teacher currently practising in a school in the North of England or a qualified teacher currently practising outside of the North who is committed to expanding their project in the North of England.  Applicants need to show how their project will target disadvantaged children aged 0-18.

The online application form is simple and has been built so that applicants can save it and return to it.  There is a short webinar that potential applicants can watch that explains the application process in more detail  Webinar: Applying to Let Teachers SHINE 2022 – SHINE (shinetrust.org.uk).  Potential applicants can contact SHINE directly on info@shinetrust.org.uk to ask any questions or arrange a call.
