Established in 2005, Newcastle Rugby Foundation (reg. 1107851) is the official charity of Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder professional teams. The charity comprises two sections, Falcons Community and Thunder Community.
Each year, we work with 15,000+ people in the North-East and Cumbria in some of the most deprived communities to activate positive change.
We deliver a range of tailored programmes from early years to further education. Including our employability and enrichment programme, which is run in partnership with Newcastle College, Project Rugby which is designed to increase participation in the game between people from traditionally underrepresented groups and our Falcons Community Rugby Excellence Programme delivered in partnership with Tyne Met College.
We work within primary, secondary and SEN schools and colleges allowing everyone equal access to rugby and delivering sessions in line with the school’s curriculum. As well as this we also offer a range of different CPD opportunities for teachers.
All our programmes are delivered by Newcastle Rugby Foundation Development officers who all hold an enhanced DBS certificate, First Aid certificate, relevant safeguarding awards, and a minimum of a level 2 National governing body certificate.
Making RUGBY+ the positive difference that changes lives for good.
