BridgePacks

Martyn’s Law procedures, written by experts, tailored to your school. BridgePacks helps school business managers and leadership teams prepare for Martyn’s Law with tailored, editable emergency planning documents. Developed by communications agency LionbridgePR, it brings practical crisis communications experience to the day-to-day challenges of running a school.

The platform draws on LionbridgePR’s work delivering crisis workshops to more than 150 UK headteachers, along with preparing crisis plans for the likes of easyJet, Dorchester Hotels and Oliver Bonas. Its approach recognises that every school is different, with its own buildings, pupils, staffing arrangements and existing safety measures.

After completing a structured online questionnaire, schools receive four editable Word documents:

  • A tailored Martyn’s Law plan covering evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and communications.
  • A staff operational guide setting out responsibilities and immediate actions.
  • Poster content and record cards for accessible reference.
  • An action list identifying further preparation required.

For busy school staff, BridgePacks provides a structured starting point that reduces the burden of drafting plans from scratch. Documents can be reviewed with colleagues, adapted to the school’s needs and updated as circumstances change.

“The documents are extremely thorough and cover all the key areas, clearly setting out responsibilities as well as any follow-up actions required.”
Jane Monaghan, School Business Manager, Hampton Hargate Primary School, Peterborough.

Testimonials
Rona Metters, Lincolnshire School Business Forum
One of those things that has probably been sitting on a lot of school To Do Lists for a while now… But where do you actually start? I was frozen with the question: as a school, what do I actually need to do? I have recently been introduced to BridgePacks, developed by LionbridgePR, Ben McCarthy and Sophie McCarthy and I’ve had a proper trial run myself. And honestly? I think it’s brilliant. You answer questions about your school, and it produces the practical documents you need, including: • A Martyn’s Law Plan • Staff Briefing & Guidance • Emergency Poster & Bomb Threat Card • A prioritised Action Plan telling you what still needs doing What I particularly liked was that it didn't just give me a load of information to read. It gave me an Action Plan. As someone who spends a lot of time working with schools, I know how valuable that can be when you've already got Free School Meals, Admissions and about 47 other things competing for your attention! Ben and Sophie have first-hand experience of disaster recovery, so this isn't something they've developed from a purely theoretical perspective. They understand what it means to prepare for the unexpected and communicate when it really matters.

"Thank you for an exceptional service level. Simply brilliant!"
JANE MONAGHAN, School Business Manager, Hampton Hargate Primary School, Peterborough
My first impression was very positive, now having had the opportunity to read through everything in detail, I’m even more impressed.  The documents are extremely thorough and cover all the key areas, clearly setting out responsibilities as well as any follow-up actions required.  I particularly liked the emphasis on whole-staff awareness and engagement. I shared it with the HT, his immediate response was "Wow! Where did you get all that from? Thank you, it looks really useful."
