Kate Reid
Kate has over twenty five years of teaching experience, in both the maintained and independent sectors. An English teacher by trade, she has taught in Essex, Cheshire, Liverpool and the North East. Currently she is Principal of Polam Hall School in Darlington a comprehensive all-through school for pupils from 4 –16, where she led the school from Requires Improvement to Good. She is passionate about the power of all-through schools. Polam’s most recent Ofsted inspection took place in November 2025.
