Karen Smith
Karen has spent the majority of her career as an analyst and finance business partner in the Civil Service; in varied roles that include police funding and performance analysis, and forecasting Higher Education student numbers and costs. She left the Civil Service in 2017 to pursue a career in the education sector, becoming CFO of a 6 school mainstream primary trust in 2021. She has been CFO for Nexus Multi Academy Trust for a year, which includes 14 schools (13 special) located across 4 Local Authorities.
