Alice Witherow
Alice Witherow has been the CEO of Cheviot Learning Trust since 2023. Cheviot Learning Trust grew from a merger of Tyne Community Learning Trust and The Three Rivers Learning Trust bringing together two smaller Northumberland MATs into a MAT of 18 schools; 11 First schools, 5 middle schools and 2 High schools as well as a regional Teaching School Hub. Prior to leading Cheviot she was CEO of Tyne Community Learning Trust, one of the Trusts that merged to form Cheviot. Alice has been in education since 1992 and in that time she has held roles in school leadership in the south of England and in Newcastle. She is a passionate believer that cooperation is crucial to school success and that by working together across structures we can make the biggest difference to the life chances of students.
