Sir David Carter to speak at SCHOOLS NorthEast Summit

National Schools Commissioner Sir David Carter is the latest senior education figure to commit to speak at the forthcoming SCHOOLS NorthEast annual Summit on 13 October.

Sir David will join Education Secretary Nicky Morgan who will be giving the keynote speech in front of a 500-strong audience of school leaders from across in the North East.

The National Schools Commissioner was appointed in February 2016 and works closely with the 8 regional school commissioners to support school leaders, teachers and governors in achieving the best education system possible.

Now in its eighth year, the UK’s pre-eminent regional education event has grown from strength to strength, becoming the must-attend conference for all North East school leaders and educationalists. In 2015 Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector Sir Michael Wilshaw headlined the Summit. You can read his speech here.

This year, the Summit will take place on Thursday 13 October 2016, at St James’ Park in Newcastle. For more information, please visit the Summit website. If you would like to book your place, please contact info@schoolsnortheast.com .
