SCHOOLS NorthEast launches Ofsted regional events series

SCHOOLS NorthEast can announce it has set up a series of termly events with Ofsted to support schools in the region to keep current on all information regarding inspections.

We will host update sessions each term in conjunction with Ofsted in three venues across the region -North, Central and South of the region to maximise the opportunity for school leaders to attend.

The dates and venues for the fist series are:

CENTRAL: Thursday 3 March 2016, 10am-12pm, Nissan Sports & Leisure Complex, Sunderland

SOUTH: Thursday 3 March 2016, 2pm-4pm, Inspire2Learn, Redcar

NORTH: Tuesday 8 March 2016, 1pm-3pm Sage offices, North Park, Newcastle

Mike Parker, Director of SCHOOLS NorthEast, said: “Last July, SCHOOLS NorthEast facilitated an Ofsted roadshow on the new common inspection framework, which came into force in September, 2015, that was attended by more than 300 schools. A follow up to that event is planned for January 18 is also at capacity. It is clear from the appetite for both of these sessions that schools value the opportunity to hear at first hand from HMIs about the common inspection framework. Our aim here is to give schools across the length and breadth of the region the chance to get the latest information and to get answers to any queries they may have.”
