Merry Christmas to all Schools

As we head into the Christmas holidays, Schools North East would like to thank our schools for all of their hard work this calendar year – certainly one of the most challenging they have ever faced.  This term has been just as difficult as those that preceded it, despite any hopes of a swift return to ‘normal’.

As we hit the last couple of days before the Christmas break, the Schools North East team wanted to express its sincere thanks for the amazing job you have all done this term; for everything that you have done for the children of the NE in these difficult times. Each member of staff has been exemplary under the most unprecedented of conditions, stepping up to ensure that our children have been kept safe, have access to learning in a safe environment, providing remote learning where necessary and at the same time helping students recover and catch up from the impact of Covid-19. Quite an amazing juggling act that deserves national recognition!  Each week, we try to populate our Newsletter with good news stories from schools across our region, further celebrating the dedication school staff have for the young people of the North East and we will continue to do so in the new year.

Our schools have been – and very much continue to be – the fourth emergency service during this ongoing crisis. We hope you have a fantastic, restful Christmas and New Year and are able to recharge your batteries for the Spring Term and the challenges it may hold for us all.

We would like to close by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.  We look forward to seeing you in 2022.
