Lord Glenamara Memorial Prize awards nominations open

The nominations for the Lord Glenamara Memorial Prize awards 2022 are open. This year Schools North East is once again sponsoring the Pastoral Care Award. The awards were set up to celebrate the achievements of those working in schools in the North East.

The Pastoral Care Award is dedicated to individuals who have supported the mental health and wellbeing of students or staff, providing an exceptional contribution during the pandemic. Schools North East is proud to support this award as the work which pastoral teams have done over the past two years has been simply amazing.  They have made monumental efforts to ensure that all thof their school communities have received as much support as humanly possible, protecting them from the ravages of the pandemic and helping them to recover as we move into the “new normal”.

The winner of last year’s award was River Tees Middlesbrough Pastoral Team  (River Tees Middle Academy) for their work supporting their school and wider community; consistently going above and beyond their job descriptions to provide incredible support and guidance for students and parents, to ensure the safety and welfare of their school community.

Other awards are ‘Pupil Academic and Pupil Technical’, ‘Most Inspiring Head Teacher or Principal’, ‘New North East Teacher or Lecturer’, ‘Most Inspiring Careers Leader’, ‘Excellence in English’ and ‘Excellence in STEM’ awards.
