There was exceptional performance in individual subject areas this year – for example GCSE Physics, Music, Design Technology, Biology, PE, Computer Science and Photography have enjoyed seeing over 80% of students achieving grades 9-5. Our Level 2 vocational qualifications have also seen incredible outcomes: 100% A-C and 61% A-A in Child Development, 100% achieving Distinction grades in Sport Studies and 78% of students achieving Level 2 Distinction – Merits in Construction.

Headteacher Kelly Holbrook said: “We are absolutely delighted with the progress and achievement of Year 11 given the very difficult circumstances they have faced. They have truly lived our school values of kindness, integrity, determination, manners, ambition and positivity and have not allowed the pandemic to dent their drive or resilience. Staff have undertaken an amazing job throughout the whole grading process and our systems were incredibly robust; what you see is a fair and accurate reflection of student performance at GCSE level. We are looking forward to welcoming back a record number of these students into our 6th form this September; they have a fantastic foundation on which to build their future success. We are proud of every single one of them.”
