Hard Work Earns High Marks at Durham Sixth Form Centre

Durham Sixth Form Centre is once again celebrating exceptional student performance as Level 3 results are officially released, reflecting extraordinary dedication across both academic and vocational pathways.

In A Levels and equivalent academic courses, students secured an average grade of B, with three quarters of all marks falling into the prestigious A*-B range. Success was equally as strong across vocational qualifications, where over 90% of grades earned were at Distinction* or Distinction level.

These outcomes continue the Centre’s long-standing tradition of academic excellence and strong progress.

Ellen Beveridge, Principal, said: “Our students have demonstrated remarkable determination, effort, and focus, and I could not be more proud of what they have accomplished today. These excellent results open doors to top destinations, whether in higher education or employment, and we are excited to see what they achieve next. Furthermore, preliminary value-added data suggests our students have made progress beyond national benchmarks relative to their starting points, which is a true testament to their hard work.”
