George Stephenson High School celebrates best-ever GCSE and A-Level results

Schools North East warmly congratulates George Stephenson High School on an excellent set of GCSE results, paving the way for exciting next steps. Here’s what they had to say…

At George Stephenson High School in Killingworth we are celebrating the best ever results for our Year 11 students, with more students than ever achieving the highest possible grades. The outcomes are testament to the hard work and dedication of both staff and students.

We are delighted that so many of them are continuing their journey with us in our Sixth Form.  We are also celebrating our best A-Level results in the school’s history, making this a truly outstanding year of achievement for the whole community.

Head Teacher, Peter Douthwaite commented:

“We are incredibly proud of our students who have worked so hard for their success – to see so many happy faces today is always a highlight of the year. They have been a fantastic year group and we have enjoyed seeing them grow and develop into a lovely group of bright, kind and caring people. We wish them all the best for the future and hope they find the time to celebrate today.”
