GCSE success for students at Wyvern Academy in Darlington
Wyvern Academy in Darlington, part of Consilium Academies, is celebrating after seeing strong results among its GCSE students.
The youngsters have had many challenges to face, including the disruption to their education during the pandemic five years ago, when this year’s GCSE students were in their final year of primary school.
Despite this, Year 11 students across the country are celebrating fantastic achievement at GCSE, with the students of Darlington’s Wyvern Academy being no exception.
The notable achievements at Wyvern are:
- Maya Crutchley has achieved Grade 9 in Biology, Grade 8 in Chemistry, English Literature, History and Mathematics, Grade 7 in English Language, Physics and Level 2 Distinction* in Health and Social Care.
- Michelle Olibe has achieved Grade 9 in English Literature and History, Grade 8 in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics and Physics and Grade 7 in Computer Science
- Ruby Baldwin has achieved Grade 9 in Biology, Grade 8 English Language, Grade 8 English Literature, Grade 7 in Geography and Physics Grade 6 in Chemistry, French and Mathematics.
- Poppy Farrow has achieved Grade 9 in Biology, Grade 8 in Chemistry, English Literature, Geography and Physics, Grade 7 in Mathematics and Grade 6 in English Language and French
- Wojtek Piszczek has achieved Grade 7 in English Literature, Mathematics, Science and Grade 6 in Computer Science, English Language, Geography and Level 2 Distinction* in Sports Studies
