Errington Primary School recognised for learning beyond the classroom

Errington Primary School, part of the Atomix Educational Trust,  is thrilled to have officially earned the Bronze LOtC Mark from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom! This award recognises their amazing commitment and huge team effort to take learning way beyond the classroom walls.

We know how much outdoor learning boosts a child’s confidence and success and Errington does a fantastic job using their incredible surroundings, from making the most of their huge grounds—complete with an allotment, pond, fire pit, and outdoor learning zones—to running awesome Forest and Beach School sessions right on their doorstep, they plan epic experiences like local history walks, museum trips, overnight space camps, and workshops.

A massive shoutout to the leadership team , and all the brilliant teachers working together to bring hands-on learning to life every day. You are creating safe, inclusive, and exciting spaces for our kids to thrive.

Living out the school ethos—“Be Kind, Be Ready, Be Curious”—this milestone shows exactly what Errington is all about. We can’t wait to see your outdoor adventures continue to grow!
