Changes to the national Curriculum

The overhaul of the national curriculum in England is to be delayed by a year, with planned changes now going ahead in 2014. Education Secretary, Gove justified the delay stating that the longer timescale will allow for further debate with everyone interested in creating a genuinely world-class education system, as well as giving schools more time to prepare for a radically different and more rigorous approach.
