Careers and Enterprise Agency Launch Draft Implementation Plan

The Careers and Enterprise Agency has launched its draft implementation plan in response to the Government’s new Careers Strategy.

The strategy, which is to be implemented in primary and secondary schools throughout 2018-19, is statutory for all schools and is part of the Government’s plan to build skills and employability in school children before they enter the world of work.

The draft implementation plan, launched today, has had input from over 400 people across education, employment, careers guidance as well as Head Teachers, Employer groups and education bodies.

Claudia Harris, Chief Executive of the Careers and Enterprise Company said: “The strategy sets out a role for us to play in supporting schools, colleges, independent learning providers, universities, employers and providers of careers support and guidance to help prepare and inspire young people for the world of work.

“This plan explains how we intend to execute against the elements for which we are responsible.”

The Careers and Enterprise Agency are still asking for feedback on this plan – you can submit your response to careers.strategy@careersandenterprise.co.uk by 23rd March.
