Bringing the Business World and School Environment together

Future Business Magnates is a business planning competition for secondary schools.  Established over 10 years ago it has grown from modest beginnings to a competition which now involves the majority of schools within County Durham.

It aims to bring together the Business World with the School Environment by immersing students in an exciting programme spanning the whole academic year and partnering them with local business owners, big and small.

Step Coaching and Development are delighted to be partnering Bishop Barrington School for 2015/16 event and the fun has already started.

Working with a team of 8 x Year 8 students and 2 teaching staff the students have started to build what they hope will be a formidable team.  They have completed the first task of Team Building supporting the students to really understand the dynamics of a great team and what skills and behaviours are needed.  Students have already started to develop the art of reflection and think about their skills and behaviours and what they bring to the team.
