Best-ever results for Harton Academy as performance rises
Students and staff are today celebrating Harton Academy’s best-ever headline results, with nearly 69% of students achieving grade 4 or above in both English and mathematics.

This year’s performance represents an increase of almost 10 percentage points on last year’s results, making it another significant milestone in the academy’s continued improvement journey.
Simply put, these results are outstanding and reflect the hard work, resilience and ambition of students, supported by the dedication of staff and the wider school community. Many of those who are receiving their results today will join Harton 6th Form, which was recognised by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’, ensuring they continue to receive life-changing opportunities.
Sharing in his students’ delight, Headteacher Jon Skurr said: “These best-ever results are fantastic; our students should be so proud of their achievements, with nearly 69% securing grade 4 or above in both English and mathematics. To see an improvement of almost 10 percentage points on last year’s performance makes these results even more special. It is tremendous and reflects the hard work and determination of all our students and the staff who have been with them every step of the way.”
Mr Skurr added: “Based on today’s results, I know those joining our outstanding 6th Form in September will have great opportunities as they move confidently into the next stage of their education.”
