Still Human

Still Human deliver CPD accredited workshops to staff in education on a range of health and wellbeing topics, sharing evidence-based knowledge and practical strategies that make being a human a little easier. At Still Human, we believe that staff matter - as when staff health and wellbeing is nurtured, it positively impacts both the individual and the whole school community.

Still Human is part of the educational support services organisation, The Edwin Group and was founded by Julie Liddell, a Psychology teacher and wellbeing facilitator with over 25 years’ experience.  Julie combined her love of psychology and passion for sharing practical strategies that make being a human a little easier, and Still Human was born.

We offer a range of workshops to support staff wellbeing that can be delivered face to face or online.  All our workshops are created and delivered by facilitators with a wealth of experience in education and include Stress Management, Mindfulness, Menopause Awareness and Rest

We also offer a 2-day Wellbeing Champion course, suitable for leaders, managers or anyone with a passion to inspire change which focuses on embedding staff wellbeing into the school culture, rather than it being a nice ‘extra’.?

Our training course equips participants with everything they need to effectively embed staff wellbeing into their organisation and inspire long-term cultural change.? With time to reflect and action plan, as well as learn and experience, this 2-day training programme will ensure that delegates leave well-resourced and confident to champion wellbeing amongst staff.

Everyone thrives when their individual wellbeing is nurtured.

Wellbeing Champion Course Feedback

Amazing ladies. True inspiration and would recommend anyone to take their Wellbeing Champion Course if you are wanting to improve staff wellbeing...but be prepared, it'll change your life, for the better too! AWESOME.

The Wellbeing Champion course gave me more focus to create a positive culture within the school. The tools I was taught have allowed me to explore my own mindfulness and this has helped deepen my understanding to pass on to others.

I made some really positive connections on the course as well; it was great to meet the team and those attending had similar passions when it came to improving the wellbeing of others in their schools. Everyone sharing their own experiences allowed several points of views to be explored and it was great to hear what is going elsewhere, everyone seemed to be having similar issues, so it was good to get together and work out how to implement the best plan for creating that culture change.

Wellbeing Champion Course Feedback

The Wellbeing Champion course was relaxed and I felt confident in talking openly about the issues the education sector are facing. The Still Human team were amazing and inspirational, I came away from the course excited about what I would be able to do to once I was back at school!

The team knew the challenges that are being faced by those in education and you could relate to everything that was being shared. They were approachable, informative and have all lived and breathed education, they were realistic about the changes education is going through but were so in touch with the issues being faced in the sector now. They provided advice on how to get the best out of people, it doesn’t have to be rigid – it really is the small things that have the biggest impact on people.

We were well looked after…spoilt in fact! The climate was right and the flexibility of the training was amazing. There was a warmth within the team, it felt genuine, you all managed to bottle that and bring it to the room for the whole time. The course seemed to get the best out of the people attending and we were all able to share what we were doing. You were able to talk confidently and confidentially about everything and it felt like a very safe space to discuss the issues people in education are facing. The small group number on the course allowed everyone attending to gel and get involved and meant the knowledge from the Facilitators could be tailored to your specific requirements.
