The only not for profit education recruitment business to be owned, run and financially supported by education establishments. Our main focus ensures education professionals such as teaching and support staff are given fair and transparent pay with support services including a ‘health and well-being package'.

As education professionals, we researched and concluded that conventional supply agencies were providing little support to agency workers in regards to fair pay, contracts and wellness support.

In our vision, we saw agency staff being paid the best locally, be given transparent ‘PAYE’ contracts and be provided a full health & well-being service, the same kind which is used by our member schools permanent staff.

As a mutual, our members include ‘Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust and local North East LEA Schools’.

We follow industry leading compliance and vetting standards to ensure our workers meet official DfE standards in relation to ‘Safer in Education’ practices.

Refer an education professional and earn up to £250 once the individual has worked a minimum of 10 school days. We're not-for-profit and pay staff towards scale from day one.

A great company to work for and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking of starting or re-entering a career in education. Signing up and registration was a simple and straight forward process allowing a quick start to working in a great range of schools. I found the staff to be very professional, friendly and always supportive and work bookings were efficiently organised and easy to access.

I was recruited by Schools Mutual Services in January 2021, and I have found the service extremely professional. My experience of dealing with their team has been most pleasurable. I find that I am dealing with a friend when I am dealing with my Senior Recruitment Consultant, Sarah Niblo.

Right from the outset, all communication has been clear, concise, precise and positive. All telephone calls and emails are responded to within an hour. On each assignment, Sarah phones me prior to the start to make sure that I have everything that I need, and whether I require anything else.
