New schools jobs board to launch in January

Jobs in Schools | North East, the region’s brand new recruitment portal created by schools for schools, is set to launch Monday 25 January 2016.

This will act as a one-stop-shop for all recruitment opportunities within North East schools – both teaching and non-teaching staff. It will also allow schools to showcase themselves as employers, to profile their establishments and to promote incentives to potential candidates.

Home-grown and bespoke, Jobs in Schools | North East is perfect for recruiting teachers, leaders and support staff – a unique solution, created by schools for schools. SCHOOLS NorthEast is working with Head Teachers and School Business Managers to design a recruitment portal that meets your requirements and develop the widest possible pool of talent to fill your vacancies and retain talent in the region.

The initiative, in partnership with the North East LEP, is endorsed by Newcastle University, Northumbria University and Durham University.

Jim Clark, Head of Department of Education and Lifelong Learning at Northumbria University, said: “The Department of Education and Lifelong Learning  welcomes the regional teacher recruitment portal from SCHOOLS NorthEast. In a rapidly changing market, we see this strategy as being key to supporting the region’s newly qualified teachers into employment.”

Schools can sign up for unlimited advertising for one year for just £200 for primary/middle schools and £450 for secondary schools. Partner schools receive a £50 discount. Please contact info@schoolsnortheast.com for further information.

From 25 January, registered candidates will have access to school profiles and will receive alerts when new roles are published.
