Laura Bell
Laura joined Schools North East as Events Manager, bringing experience in event management, policy and strategy across government, NGOs and the public sector.
She began her career at the Ministry of Defence, working on Royal Navy effectiveness projects, before joining the Department of Health and Social Care. There, she worked on the Covid-19 pandemic, rare diseases and health inequalities policy, before managing ministerial visits for the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
Laura went on to become Event Manager to the Prime Minister at No10, leading international events with heads of state and government, alongside the Lessons at 10 programme, welcoming schoolchildren from across the UK into Downing Street.
Most recently, she was Event and Communications Manager at RVMC, supporting partnerships and delivering major events including the G20, Vaccine Market Forums and the first Sustainable Markets Convening. Her work spanned programmes across Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and South East Asia.
Laura holds a BSc in International Relations from the University of Plymouth and studied Political Science at the University of Vermont.
