Parent-Friendly Schools is a UK-based education initiative dedicated to strengthening partnerships between schools and families through evidence-based parent participation. Delivered by Parentkind, the UK’s largest parent charity, the organisation supports schools in creating more collaborative, inclusive, and effective relationships with parents to improve attendance, engagement, wellbeing, and educational outcomes.
Through accreditation, professional development, advisory support, and practical resources, Parent-Friendly Schools helps school leaders move beyond traditional communication models toward meaningful parent involvement. Its structured Blueprint Framework enables schools to assess, develop, and recognise effective parent engagement practices through progressive accreditation pathways.
By empowering schools to build trust, encourage two-way communication, and create shared responsibility for student success, Parent-Friendly Schools aims to transform parent-school relationships into long-term partnerships that benefit children, educators, and communities.
