We are hosting a 90-minute online roundtable session as part of our ongoing engagement with schools and trusts across the North East ahead of our final response to the SEND consultation.

This session provide a final opportunity for Schools North East Partner School Head Teachers, CEOs, and senior leadership teams to share their perspectives before we prepare and submit our collective response.

Ahead of the session, attendees will receive a draft response informed by our insights and engagement to date. The session will focus on refining this draft and ensuring that all voices are represented.

Following earlier rounds of discussions, the response (and this session) will be structured around the four key themes:

-Collaboration – how we can best strengthen partnership working between schools, trusts, and external agencies – and the joint accountability it will require

-Inclusion – the experience and outcomes for children and young people

-Workforce – supporting people and the delivery of effective practice, training, and leadership

-Finance and Governance – ensuring sustainable delivery structures and funding approaches

This is a valuable opportunity to contribute directly to the final submission and help shape a shared, system-wide response to the SEND consultation.

We will share our final response to the consultation based on your input by Monday 11 May.
