Fundraise & Recycle Ltd

Fundraise & Recycle Ltd, founded in 2021 and backed by over 15 years of expertise in the textiles industry, is dedicated to transforming textile recycling within local communities. We work with over 600 different organisations at present, many which are schools.

Our mission is to reduce textile waste and keep clothes out of landfills, while helping our partners generate multiple long-term sources of income.

We provide organisations with brand-new clothes recycling banks, which can be equipped with fill-level sensors to prevent overflow.

Our clothes banks offer an easy and ethical way for the community to recycle unwanted textiles, clothes, shoes, and bags. In return, we pay the partnering organisation an agreed amount per kilogram of textiles collected.

Best of all, our service is completely free to schools, helping them earn funds while supporting a greener future.

St Anne's Primary School

St Anne's Primary School Subsidises School Trips With Their Clothes Bank

At St Anne’s Primary School, sustainability isn’t a buzzword; it’s a value that’s being put into action every single day.

Since partnering with Fundraise & Recycle, the school has turned unwanted clothes into community impact, successfully recycling over 2,200 kilograms of textiles and raising nearly £500 in the process.

This partnership has not only boosted school funds but also delivered significant environmental benefits.

By recycling instead of discarding, St Anne’s has prevented more than 8,000 kilograms of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere, a remarkable contribution toward tackling climate change at a local level.

For the team at St Anne’s, the process couldn’t be simpler.

A Fundraise & Recycle clothes bank was installed on school grounds, providing parents, families, and local residents with a convenient way to donate their unwanted clothes and shoes. The school doesn’t have to manage collections, promotions, or logistics. Fundraise & Recycle takes care of everything from start to finish.

The result is a steady, effortless fundraising stream that complements the school’s existing initiatives without adding pressure to staff or parents.

The success at St Anne’s demonstrates how schools can achieve real impact through small, consistent actions. By offering families a way to give back that doesn’t involve spending money, the school has created a win-win situation, funding vital extras while promoting environmental awareness among pupils and parents alike.

Each donation helps Fundraise & Recycle’s wider mission too: supporting schools, charities, and community organisations across the North East and Cumbria to raise funds sustainably.

The company’s model proves that environmental responsibility and financial support can go hand-in-hand.

With results like these, St Anne’s Primary School has become a leading example for others looking to make a positive difference — proving that sustainable fundraising doesn’t have to be complicated.

Every kilogram recycled, every pound raised, and every small act of community effort adds up to something much bigger: a cleaner planet and a stronger school community.

Barnard Grove Primary School

Barnard Grove Primary School Fundraised Over £3700

Barnard Grove Primary School has become a shining example of what sustainable fundraising can achieve. Through their partnership with Fundraise & Recycle, the school has turned unwanted clothing into both environmental impact and meaningful community support.

Since installing their clothes bank, Barnard Grove has recycled an incredible 13,455 kilograms of clothing. That’s more than 13 tonnes of textiles diverted away from landfill.

Their commitment to recycling has also prevented over 48,000 kilograms of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere, a major contribution to reducing harmful emissions and championing sustainability within their community.

Alongside these environmental achievements, the school has raised over £3,700 through their Fundraise & Recycle clothes bank. These funds have been used for one of the most impactful initiatives a school can offer: a fully operational food bank, set up to support local families facing increasing financial pressures and rising living costs. This initiative has quickly become a vital source of stability for many households connected to the school.

Barnard Grove’s success demonstrates the true potential of sustainable fundraising. Their approach eliminates the stress and time demands associated with traditional fundraising events and instead offers a steady, reliable income stream that works quietly in the background. The support of the wider community, parents, neighbours, and local residents, has played a major role in keeping the clothes bank full and the school’s impact growing.

Fundraise & Recycle is proud to support Barnard Grove Primary School with their incredible efforts. Their achievements highlight how a simple idea, giving unwanted clothes a second life, can lead to extraordinary results.

By combining sustainability with community support, they have created a fundraising model that is environmentally responsible, financially effective, and socially meaningful.

With thousands of kilograms recycled, tens of thousands of kilograms of CO₂ saved, and thousands of pounds reinvested into helping local families, Barnard Grove Primary School stands as a powerful example of how sustainable fundraising can strengthen both communities and the planet.
