Reinstate the School Support Staff Negotiating Body
13/06/24 – The 2024 Labour Manifesto announced that the Labour party would reinstate the School Support Staff Negotiating Body.
10/10/24 – Employment Rights Bill introduced to Parliament. The bill includes provisions to reinstate the School Support Staff Negotiating Body.
21/10/24 – Employment Rights Bill has its second reading.
18/12/25 – Employment Rights Bill receives royal assent. Secondary legislation will be required to commence and constitute the body in 2026. The first outcomes from the SSSNB will arise in the 2027 to 2028 financial year at the earliest. The government will publish the consultation findings and response in early 2026.
