A tribute to excellence: Darlington teacher recognised at 10 Downing Street

Lisa Caley, a dedicated educator from Corporation Road Primary School in Darlington, was recently honoured with a special invitation to the very famous address of 10 Downing Street. 

This recognition, presented on Wednesday 6 November, celebrated her exceptional contributions to education and society. Amazing work, Lisa!

Unwavering dedication to children 

With a remarkable 31-year career as a classroom teacher, Lisa continues to inspire and uplift her students with the same passion and enthusiasm as she did on her very first day. Her unwavering commitment to her students and her profession has made a lasting impact on countless young lives, and that’s exactly what we love so much about the North East.

Nick Blackburn, CEO of Lingfield Education Trust, expressed immense pride in Lisa’s achievement. He said: “We are very proud of Lisa. She embodies the Trust’s ethos and values and always has the child at the heart of everything she does.”

Lisa has been part of the Corporation Road staff since 2007, where she has consistently made a positive difference in the lives of students and families alike. Her dedication to creating engaging and enriching learning experiences has fostered a love of learning in her students.

Mark Dipple, Head Teacher at Corporation Road Primary School, highlighted Lisa’s determination to always put the children first. He said: “During my time working with Lisa, it is clear how much she cares about each and every child. She makes the most out of every lesson so that the children get the absolute best out of their time in school.”

Lisa’s invitation to 10 Downing Street is a testament to her exceptional work and unwavering commitment to education. Her story serves as an inspiration to educators and students alike, reminding us of the power of passion and dedication in shaping young minds.
