St. Aidan’s best results ever
St. Aidan’s Catholic Academy, Sunderland, are celebrating with their students today as the boys receive their GCSE results. St. Aidan’s is part of the Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust.
Living and breathing their core values.
St. Aidan’s reported that they were ‘delighted’ with the results achieved by their students. Head Teacher Glenn Sanderson commented that:
“Despite the issues caused by the pandemic we are celebrating our best results ever.”
68% have achieved a grade 5 or above in both English and Math’s, and 84% at grade 4. 34% of all grades achieved were 9-7 (A*-A), 93% of our pupils achieved a grade 4 and above in English, and 87% a grade 5, some achieving a grade 9 in all subjects studied – a truly outstanding achievement and well deserved.
Glenn said:
“This level of excellence doesn’t happen by accident; the boys and staff have worked extremely hard, living and breathing our core values, dedicating time to their studies and climbing to the top of their mountain – most importantly the grades they have achieved have opened many doors, enabling them to continue their journey either academically or to pursue a good career.”
