Students at Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy ‘thoroughly earn their exceptional results’
Students at Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy in Stockton-on-Tees were delighted to achieve amazing GCSE results today.
A source at the academy told us ‘Whilst it has been an incredibly challenging year for our all our pupils, they have done exceptionally well. They have been through a rigorous programme of assessments and examinations, and have thoroughly earned their results. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them’.

Kirstan Soralde is the only pupil to achieve grade 9s across the board in all of his subjects. Kirstan is a wonderfully humble and gracious young man, who has worked tirelessly to achieve these results. Kirstan has achieved 2.5 grades above his targets across the board. Huge well done Kirstan!
Liam O’Connor has achieved incredible results, with eight grade 9s and one grade 8. He has achieved over 2 grades above his target grades across all subjects. Well done Liam!
Abigail Mariano has achieved phenomenal results with eight grade 9s and two grade 8s, which is particularly impressive as she studied Fine Art as an extra GCSE. Abigail is also the top achieving girl in the year group. Well done Abigail!
Medge Aloquina has achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 8s. He has achieved over 3 grades higher than his target grade across all subjects. He is the boy with the highest progress score in the year group. He is also a truly lovely young man. Well done Medge!
Paige Townsend achieved some amazing results across the board. She has achieved over 3.5 grades higher than her target grade across all subjects. She is the pupil in the whole year group with the highest progress score. This is a real testament to her incredible hard work and determination throughout the year. We are so proud of you Paige!
Sophia Andreocci joined Our Lady in St Bede in Y9 from Italy. She has worked incredibly hard throughout her time here and taken every challenge thrown her way. Her determination has resulted in her achieving some brilliant results. Well done Sophia!
Evie Wells has done exceptionally well in her GCSEs. She has achieved seven grade 9s and three grades 8s, including a grade 9 in Fine Art which she took as an extra GCSE. Evie also achieved over three grades higher than her target grade across all subjects. Evie should be very proud of herself, as we are of her. Well done Evie!
Kashmeera Matheesvaran has done phenomenally well, and is one of our top achievers scoring over 2 grades higher than her target grade in all subjects. She achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s and a grade 7. This is particularly amazing due to the fact that during the first lockdown, she had no Kashmeera has tackled every challenge thrown her way with a smile on her face and a real determination to achieve. Well done Kashmeera!
Scarlett Lynskey achieved fantastic results across the board. She did this whilst also taking an extra GCSE in Music, in which she achieved a grade 8. Scarlett has worked incredibly hard throughout the year, and we are very proud of her. Well done Scarlett!
Isabelle Buckley has achieved incredibly results across the board. Despite some personal challenges, she has had a real strength and determination to achieve, and has done incredibly well in all her subjects. At the end of the year, Isabelle was also recognised by so many students as possessing so many of our school virtues. We are so proud of you Isabelle – well done!
Daniel Harland achieved superb results in his GCSEs across all subjects. He achieved almost two grades higher than his target grade in all subjects. Daniel has been an absolute asset to the school and to his year group, and we’re delighted to celebrate his great achievement. Congratulations Daniel!
Jamie Heeley achieved brilliantly in his GCSEs. He achieved a grade above his target grade across all subjects. This is through his hard work and determination to succeed, despite the challenges of home learning. Well done Jamie!
