We were all very disappointed when we made the difficult decision to postpone our Victorian day at Beamish Museum because of the rising number of Covid cases in one of our KS2 classes.

Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust was recognised as a ‘highly commended’ MAT Finance Team of the Year at The MAT Finance Awards 2021, this week. The Trust achieved a status of ‘highly commended runner up’ after being shortlisted along with seven other MAT Finance Teams from across the country, which is a great achievement for the growing North East Trust.
Sixth Form Computer Science students from North East Futures UTC have been working hard on their team project for the Mayor’s School’s Climate Challenge, supported by Newcastle University and Ubisoft.
Corbridge Middle School has been rated ‘outstanding’ in all areas following a recent Ofsted inspection.
The quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management within the school have all been recognised as being outstanding – making it an OUTSTANDING school overall.
During the pandemic, continuing on into this academic year, the education system has been under enormous pressure. In the face of these challenges, schools have gone ‘above and beyond’, acting as the ‘fourth emergency service’ and proving to be vital national strategic infrastructure.
