North East Ambulance Service

About the North East Ambulance Service

The North East Ambulance Service works with local schools to raise awareness of the ambulance service and the work we do, as well as helping children and young people learn when and how to call 999 and 111, and teaching them important lifesaving skills including CPR and defibrillator use.

We have developed a range of videos, quizzes, learning plans and other educational resources that you can download to help you in your own sessions with Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 pupils. Accessible resources can be found in our Learning Disability Zone and BSL and Subtitles Zone. All of our resources have been developed in line with current Health Education guidelines as part of the National Curriculum.

We also visit schools and community groups across the North East to educate people about our services. If you are located in our region and would like to submit a request for our Community Visit team to speak to your school or community group, please follow the link further down the page and fill out the form on our website.

Testimonials

School Visit Testimonial

It is vital for our children to be educated about the importance of our emergency services, both how to get help and how to use them properly. This event provided our children with a life skill, and while we hope they won't need to use it, can rest assured they will be able to thanks to the work of the North East Ambulance Service.
