Vision for Education

Vision for Education was established in 2008 to deliver a local, professional and honest service to schools in the North East. Our ethos is based on building lasting relationships with schools and teachers as well as offering exceptional service. We have separate Primary, Secondary and SEN divisions and all of our consultants are local with experience in their respective areas.   We provide best value to schools and have grown substantially through the recommendations of Head Teachers, Business Managers and teachers who believe in our ethos, and respect our approach.

We strongly believe in offering our teachers the best pay in the area, and offer schools the best rates for the quality received. We place a huge emphasis on our vetting and child protection procedures. In fact, our system has been approved by the DfE and we have been awarded 100% in our Quality Mark audit.   We hope our combination of quality, safety and value will be of interest you, and we look forward to speaking to you in the near future.

Testimonials

A testimonial of my experiences with Vision for Education

I was first introduced to Vision for Education during a Northumbria University’s careers fair while completing my Primary PGCE. Immediately I was drawn to the warm approach of the spokeswomen and their ability to answer some of my less conventional questions since I am originally from America. As it turned out, one of the ladies was also American and was able to share her experience and even some tips of how to transition.

After speaking to both of them I realised that signing up with this agency seemed like the best step forward and did so the summer after completing my programme. After waiting for several months for my Indefinite Leave to Remain to come through I began working through the Newcastle branch and have found Darren and Elouise, my consultants, to be extremely helpful, understanding and a joy to work with.

Any concerns that I have expressed have been dealt with promptly and courteously and the one day that I managed to get lost on the way to a new school, Darren was very patient in directing me in my overwhelmed state!? Furthermore, I have been impressed with the amount of work I have been given and the bonds with schools that I have been able to form in a short period of time.

I will soon be changing the branch I work through but expect the same great service to be present as I have already found the consultants at the branch in Middlesbrough to be eager to work with my expectations.   I would highly recommend working through Vision for Education as I have found this to be an excellent service which strives to meet everyone’s needs involved.

'First port of call for solutions to our staffing needs'

We have been working with Vision for Education for two months and they are proving to be excellent in how responsive they are to supplying us with high calibre staff. Our dedicated contact (Charlie Knox) has developed a very strong rapport with us and understands the needs of our business and the pressure we face. They have quickly become my first port of call for solutions to our staffing needs and I have every confidence in their professionalism and attention to detail.

'The level of service from Vision for Education has been excellent'

The level of service from Vision for Education has been excellent. Liam has very good understanding of our requirements and took the time to identify the type of supply teachers the school prefers.

Liam & his team don’t bombard me with calls but are always at the end of the phone should I need them. This has led to a very positive relationship.

As a recruitment agency you have all been very supportive and professional

Hi everyone,

Just to say a big thankyou to you all! I have no hesitation in recommending Vision For Education. I joined Vision over one year ago. Working with you has given me alot more skills and experiences due to a variety of placements.

I was given opportunities to work within schools and day nurseries.I have worked on a day to day basis and also in long term placements. I admit Iwas sad to leave some of these schools. I have a beautiful son who is on the autistic spectrum. Vision has gave me the opportunity to use my skills within this area and develop them evenfurther.

They have also given me practical experience of working with others who have different SEN e.g. a hearing impaired, a child with downs syndrome and a child with cerebral palsy Elouise asked me if I would be happy in working one to one with a little boy at Regent Farm in Gosforth. I have now been offered a full time contract thanks to her. It was very reassuring to know that I could ring at anytime with any queries or concerns in which I may have. Your team were always there to help. I was always asked if I felt comfortable within my placements and was always given feedback about my work. I would like to thank my consultant Darren Starling. He has recommended me to a number of schools finding me constant placements. One of which was in Ashington working one to one with a four year old girl. I was offered a full time job within their school but sadly I had already been offered elsewhere through Vision for Education.

Thankyou Darren for all your support and thankyou to your team at Vision. As a recruitment agency I feel you have all been very supportive and professional. I have already recommended you to a few of my friends whom are seeking work. I hope to see you in the future.

Many Thanks,

Julie Johnson, Teaching Assistant.

The Staff Vision for Education provide are excellent

I have worked with Vision for Education for about two years now. I can thoroughly recommend Vision for Education and the service they provide.

They are always available and helpful on the end of the line, with a pleasant cheery attitude. Most importantly, the staff they provide are excellent. I could not recommend them more.

Testimonial for Will Washington from Jo Wilson, Retired Special Headteacher.

During some 20 years as the Head of School for pupils with Behavioural, Emotional and Social difficulties, I strenuously avoided using any agencies to provide supply staff . This was in some ways due to my reluctance to impose change on pupils who did not relish such, and suspicion regarding the quality of the candidates.

During the last year and a half, when I was Acting-Head of a large Special School with pupils whose range of special needs and disabilities was wide and extensive, I realised that we could only cover in-house to an extent and, in the case to teacher or Nursery nurse absence we would need to explore the Agencies.

I did speak to the representatives of some four agencies and was greatly relieved when I met and spent time discussing the needs of the school with Will Washington.

Will is very knowledgeable about the field of SEN. It possibly helps that his Mother is Head of a BESD school and he knows what Special Schools and PRUs are about. The service he provided during the 18 months I was in post was second to none. He spends a day in the school as an observer, working alongside staff so that he knows the culture of the school and the style of working and the needs of the pupils. He stays in touch even when his staff are not being used but when there is a need for supply staff, the service he supplies is superb.

I needed to make an appointment for the start of the academic year in secondary Humanities and I was bemoaning the fact that summer was looming and a quality candidate being available seemed highly unlikely. Will had, he thought, an appropriate candidate working for him in a PRU. She proved to be not only appropriate but an outstanding young teacher whose enthusiasm, energy and passion for the job impressed everyone. I have a list of Will's inspired placements but more than that and the fact that he can somehow fill an emergency gap first thing on a Monday morning, is that he is honest and fair and there are no hidden charges or contract demands.

I dealt with Will on a regular basis over the 18 months and he never let me down nor did he ever send me a member of staff who did not cope and do the job well. Will knew the school so he chose wisely.

I can thoroughly recommend this young man and his agency and can vouch that he relieved me of the stresses of finding staff to work with complex and challenging pupils.
