In-depth Training on Completing Pre-employment Checks and the Single Central Record

We are delighted to inform you that we have arranged an in-depth training event on completing pre-employment checks.  This includes current guidance on completing the Single Central Record and is suitable for school admin, leaders and headteachers who deal with the SCR and undertake pre-employment checks. 

The event will be provided by a fully Accredited Safer Recruitment Trainer who has extensive experience and knowledge of Safer Recruitment, Keeping Children Safe in Education and the requirements for the Single Central Record.

The event will include: 

• A very brief outline to safer recruitment
• Statutory information that is required to be logged on the SCR
• Detailed guidance on how to conduct each check, including overseas checks, verifying references, confirming ID documents, carrying out a DBS check and how to carry out a Teacher Prohibition check.  
• Advice on when to let an employee start work and when it is ok to let someone in school before checks are cleared
• Guidance on when to log the details of third party workers, volunteers

This event will take place on Friday 10 June 2022 at 1.00pm – 3.00pm at Newburn Leisure Centre, NE15 8ND.
 
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. The cost for a current client is £45 excl VAT per person and for a non current client £75 excl VAT at the time of the event. This will be invoiced in full at the time of the booking and must be paid prior to attendance at the event.
