BBC News School Report

24th Oct 16

BBC News School Report is back with News Day on Thursday 16 March 2017 when over one thousand secondary schools will join together, creating online news, radio and video content, amplifying the voice and experiences of students across the UK.

We’d like to invite to you a session at BBC Newcastle on Wednesday 2nd November 2.30 – 4.30pm to find out more about this great project, hear our plans for the year ahead and get inspiration for ways you can make the most of the project with your students.

To give you an idea of what happens on News Day, have a look at all the amazing reports from last year -

And if you go onto the School Report map, you can find schools near you and see how they were reporting -

And this year, not only do we have News Day in March but we’ve launched My Team, in partnership with BBC Sport and BBC Local Radio where 11-16 year olds could be reporting about their local football team.

If you would like to attend the session please email with your name, the name of your school with the subject ‘School Report – Newcastle’. Please note it is for teachers/school staff only and we’re unable to pay travel expenses, but we will provide you with biscuits.

We hope your students can join many others across the country in this year’s BBC News School Report and look forward to hearing from you.   @bbcschoolreport
