Premier Education

Premier Education is the UK’s largest provider of sport and physical activity to primary schools. We are on a mission to improve children’s health and wellbeing through active learning. Premier Education can help you put PESSPA at the heart of school life. With sports, performing arts and personal development courses on offer, we have something for every school. Find out more at

All our sports sessions are created for 4 to 12 year olds with a wide range of abilities. Our fully qualified Activity Professionals bring each sport to life with games and activities whilst helping to build skills and confidence in each child. Our results are measurable and fully support schools with the changing Ofsted requirements and other national focuses around physical and mental wellbeing.

Thanks to our reputation, we are partnered with several major National Governing Bodies including BaseballSoftballUK, British Dodgeball, British Gymnastics, England Hockey, England Lacrosse, Lawn Tennis Association and Table Tennis England, who help us develop our sports and services. Through our partnerships, we have access to exclusive training and resources which allows us to create quality, structured courses which tie into the wider curriculum. It means that every Premier Education session is created from the best available resources, with trusted training and specialist expertise.

Support to upskill your staff

We can also offer comprehensive support to upskill your school staff with our partners Train With Premier and Transcend Awards. One of our popular courses is the Transcend Level 2 qualification in Leading Inclusive Physical Activity. We also offer training for school staff on active lessons and using Drama as a teaching tool within the curriculum.

What is the aim of our curricular PESSPA sessions?

Through, and in PESSPA, we aim to support the specific curriculum intent of our partner schools, also synchronising with the National Curriculum purpose and aims for PE. Therefore, key to the overarching curriculum design will be a range of opportunities to support children’s development in being creative, confident, and caring. This aligns with high-quality, inspiring PE curriculum that builds character and an understanding of fairness and respect.

Adapting to school situations and environments

In addition to the focus on high-quality support from a delivery perspective, we have had to be flexible and agile in adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic. We have, through an internal partner, made it mandatory for all our Activity Professionals to complete a Level 2 Ofqual registered qualification in Infection Prevention, Mitigation and Management. The qualification is sector leading and comprehensive in its content to support working in schools.

A wider variety of sporting experiences

It has been a pleasure to work with Premier Education so far. This year, it was our aim as a school to provide children with a wider variety of sporting experiences. With the help of Premier Education, we have introduced children to a new range of sports. It has been an absolute success with the children, who have been thrilled to participate in different sports.

Our children thrived in this positive environment

We thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at Premier Education. Our children were encouraged to try new activities they hadn’t experienced before. The coaches encouraged and supported the children with their new skills. The sessions were progressive over the weeks and the children looked forward to participating as the sessions were age appropriate and inclusive allowing all children the chance to succeed.

The atmosphere was positive and responsive. Our children thrived in this positive environment and thoroughly enjoyed the competitive elements. We would have no hesitation in recommending Premier Education.
