Green Shift Educational Services Limited

We are Green Shift Educational Services Limited and we provide a bespoke educational service specialising in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) subject areas.

We offer STEM workshops (national curriculum content based/national curriculum skills based/non-national curriculum based).  These are tailored to your specific requirements and can be delivered with any year group.  We aim to raise engagement, enrichment and attainment as well as raise pupil aspirations in these subject areas.

We have worked with over 10,000 children over the last 2 years and regularly receive outstanding feedback from staff, pupils and parents.  We have worked at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle, South Shields Art Museum, with Big Local community groups and at The Word Tourist Attraction in South Tyneside.  We are scheduled to deliver sessions in these venues again and at a whole lot more e.g. Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens and at Whitehouse Farm – Morpeth.

We are fully qualified scientists as well as fully qualified, experienced teachers (and teaching assistants) so we feel that not only do we have the expertise in planning and delivering these sessions but we also have the subject knowledge and skills to support this.

We also offer CPD (continuous professional development) sessions to schools which require this, we can come in and teach parts of the science curriculum that your staff are not confident in delivering, we can offer support with your science scheme of work and planning and we also offer after school science clubs to engage and ignite that science spark in your pupils.

In September 2018, we are hoping to start hiring out boxes of class sets of equipment to encourage more schools to allow their children to take part in practical work in science.  We will be using the science national curriculum (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2) to develop these boxes.  We are also looking at purchasing microscopes, data loggers, sensors etc…. to hire.  In time, we will develop more and more boxes and will start to develop non national curriculum topic boxes to engage and inspire your children further e.g. forensic science, making new products etc….

We have also started delivering EYFS sessions should you be interested in any of these sessions.
