We are the trainer of choice for public, private and third sector organisations across the North East of England. Since 2012, we have trained over 18,000 delegates from over 1,400 businesses and organisations.
We work with a number of schools, colleges and universities across the region, delivering first aid and health and safety training courses. Our award-winning Specialist Skills team delivers paramedic-led training to ensure you have the skills required within your workplace to deal with any incidents. We can help you to make sure your skills are up-to-date and that you comply with UK regulations.
We offer a wide range of courses to help to support you and your workplace. This includes First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Emergency First Aid, CPR, AED familiarisation, conflict resolution, drug awareness training, fire safety and many, many more. You can find out more on our courses pages.
The money that we raise through training and event cover is reinvested back into our ambulances and crews. In the last financial year (2017/8) we contributed to the provision of:
· a fully equipped rapid response vehicle
· a paramedic
· an ambulance care assistant
· a call handler in our operations centre, and
· a dispatch officer in our operations centre.
Given the challenging environment we operate in, we massively appreciate the support we receive from our customers. Choosing us as your training provider really does make a difference and enables us to invest more into patient care.
We take part in the British Heart Foundation's 'Restart a Heart Day', an annual initiative which aims to train as many students as possible in CPR in one day, so that more young people know these life-saving skills. The initiative is open to schools across the region and usually takes place in October. During the rest of the year we work with a number of schools, training staff. One of the most popular short courses we have found recently is defibrillator training. This course can be delivered at your workplace during a lunch hour to up to 12 staff. We can also recommend which defibrillator would be most suitable for your workplace.
We appreciate the pressures and constraints faced by those working in education and try our best to accommodate, i.e. delivering training on-site, grouping sessions together to be delivered across one day, providing guidance in terms of compliance and, by offering competitive pricing.
