The SNE annual Governance Conference will once again be held as an online conference for 2022 and we are looking forward to you joining us virtually.




Now in its sixth year, the annual Governance conference will support those in school governance roles – state-maintained and academy – in carrying out their duties confidently and effectively. You will hear from experts and colleagues in a range of areas who will provide the latest updates, guidance and best practice for governing bodies and school leaders providing you with 5+ hours of CPD (accredited by the CPD certification service). You will also have the opportunity to network and connect with colleagues in breakout and networking sessions.


The annual Governance Conference was the first SNE event which was transformed into a virtual conference right at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic bringing together 100s of Governors from across the country to collaborate, share and support each other. Due to popular demand, the annual Governance conference has now been cemented into the SNE Events calendar as a national virtual conference and is open to all schools and Trusts across the country.


All delegates will receive recordings of all content along with an accredited CPD certificate.

Being a school governor or trustee is a hugely rewarding and important role. Governors have a strong impact on transforming schools for the better and are essential for holding school leaders to account. During the pandemic, there was even greater pressure on school governors of all types to ensure that the children in their schools received the best possible education and it highlighted the need for governing bodies to remain responsive and adaptable.
