Academies Conference 2020
30 January 2020
9.00 - 16.00 (timings subject to change)
Join us, and your colleagues from across the region, for Schools North East's third Academies Conference. This conference will support schools and academies who are within an established MAT, have recently made the decision to join or form a MAT, as well as those exploring the potential options moving forward.
The Schools North East Academies Conference brings together around 300 senior leaders from academies and MATs from across the region and beyond to network and explore the unique challenges they face.
The educational landscape is constantly changing, and it is crucial that Chairs, CEOs, Executive Head Teachers and trustees stay up to date with how policies, practices and procedures impact their MATs, academies, or schools seeking to form or join an academy.
Delegates will have the opportunity to think about what their roles entail and the unique challenges that they face. The event will inspire them to reach new standards and enable them to network with their national and regional colleagues. It will inform academies who have recently made the decision to join or form a MAT, as well as those exploring potential options moving forward
Whether you are a MAT Leader, or have a finance based role, the Academies conference will offer sessions exploring the unique challenges you face. As well as being relevant to School Leaders, Trustees, SBMs and Finance Directors from both Academies and MATs, this event caters for staff from Maintained Schools seeking to join or form a MAT, or simply explore options moving forward.
All sessions will be specific to Academies and will range from finance, to leadership and management, to systems and structures. Past speakers have included leading educational figures, such as Lord Agnew, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the School System, Sir David Carter, National Schools Commission and Jan Renou, Regional Schools Commissioner, North of England, alongside academy leaders from across the region sharing their successes and best practice.
